DIY Chubby Calico Cat Amigurumi Keychain

I wanted a simple pattern that I could create for the kids in my family, mimicking their own kitties which happened to be a calico. While there are a lot of kitty patterns online, there aren't a lot that feature a calico with two tone, or 3 tones of colors. So I created a chubby little 2-toned cat that you can hang on your backpack or keyring.

I made 2 versions to play with: a yellow and brown one, and a black and white one. They each have a tail that I curled into a spiral, but the tail can also be left uncurled as well. Note: I used the Yarn Under/Yarn Over combination method, aka "x-stitch".
